De Beauvoir Suite
Have a meeting with a difference in our tastefully furnished, elegant De Beauvoir suite, with its high, chandeliered ceiling, ornate fireplace and grand bay window overlooking the long sweeping driveway and countryside. This private suite is fitted with a wall mounted screen, Wi-Fi and can seat up to 45 people.
The Orangery at Downham Hall
For smaller meetings, guest drinks, or just to impress, is our striking orangery. With its glass roof and panoramic views of uninterrupted, spectacular Essex countryside and north grounds, there really is no better place than this for blue sky thinking.
The orangery can accommodate up to 30 guests seated, or 40 standing.
Available for Christmas parties and larger functions, is our beautiful, fully furnished moat-side marquee. With a capacity of up to 110 people seated, or 200 standing, this marquee, with fitted dance floor and bar, is perfect for any celebration.
The marquee can be hired on its own or as part of a package with the De Beauvoir Suite and Orangery.
The Grounds at Downham Hall
Downham Hall sits on 3.5 acres of beautiful, part moated grounds, which feature our outdoor terrace, manicured garden and grass lawn. Perfect for outdoor team-building activities, be it human table football, or a spot of archery, we can work with a range of suppliers to make your team away day special.
Why not treat your fellow employees to luxury home-made afternoon tea on the terrace or a delicious gourmet barbeque while soaking in the amazing views? We can also provide a bespoke wine tasting session or a cocktail making experience.
Catering and refreshments
Downham Hall offers a wide range of delicious dining options from home-made and beautifully crafted canapés to formal three-course meals. For that extra special touch, we can also offer our luxury afternoon tea or in the summer months, our gourmet barbeque. Our in-house chefs only use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, including eggs from our very own chickens and are also able to cater for your dietary requirements.
