Downham Hall offers a unique destination for your dining experience. Our team prides itself on serving locally sourced seasonal food in an informal and relaxed setting that welcomes all.
Our head chef is not one for the limelight but has great experience in a 2 Michelin star kitchen and a range of other environments with which his experience is taking our food forwards, creating mouth watering classic dishes for you to enjoy.
We are finally back offering fine dining menus, after our 5 months closed plus summer of varying restrictions. Our menus are now shown below, as we go into Autumn we are now able to get back to the high standards, excellent feedback and recreate what we started to get known for last autumn.
It is advised to book a table ahead of your visit although we are happy to welcome walk in customers if there are tables available. You can always call us on 01268 422464 to check or to book, as well as booking on line using the link below.
Saturday 20th November
After a delay from our last sold-out tasting menu evening we have our next date organised. Our team love doing the tasting menu evening, a chance to show off their skills and great for us as the business to push our boundaries again.
We expect this to sell out pretty quickly, if we can sell out fast enough we may open the Friday as well but let’s see! We are asking for a deposit to make sure we don’t have too many no-shows.

Wednesday through to Saturday:
Breakfast is served from 8am – 10am
Lunch is served from 12pm-3pm (last sitting is at 14.45pm)
Dinner is served from 5pm – 20.30pm (last sitting is at 20.15pm)
Breakfast is served from 8am – 11am (last sitting is at 10.45am)
Sunday lunch is served from 1pm-4pm (last sitting is at 15.45pm)
December menus and events
We are planning to offer a festive menu this year, much like last year but let’s hope we don’t get closed down this time! We have put together our festive menu, we are not doing a turkey roast, we hope you can enjoy that on Christmas day or similar but have other menu options to enjoy as you catch up with your group, Chef says turkey roast is hard to make truly special, well more special than at home with your family.
Our festive menu is available from December 1st and a link below, you can book as normal on our booking system.
