Christmas at Downham Hall

The elves, aka our merry team have been busy getting ready behind the scenes to make sure the Hall is decked out for a very special Christmas.

After 2 years of disruption we have resolved to make this year the best ever. With fire on, the hot drinks for some, the harder drinks for others, it is a great time of year at the Hall.

Christmas evenings in the restaurant

Through the festive period, 30th November until Christmas Eve we will have a special Christmas menu to enjoy. A 2 or 3 course set menu to choose from. Served in our tastefully decorated dining rooms supported by our full bar options and snacks. Have a drink by the fire and then come through to enjoy your meal.

We are asking for pre-orders over 7 people to ensure your favourite dishes are available on the night. For larger tables of 12 people plus we can host your group in our Orangery and we can also run your evening as a private hire experience up to 24 people which our team would be happy to discuss to plan the perfect Christmas event. Christmas Lunch

Served from 30th November until Christmas Eve our lunch menu and from 11-2.30 (3pm on Christmas Eve). The menu is lighter than the evening set menu but full of classics to enjoy in our beautiful setting.

Festive Afternoon Teas

Our festive afternoon teas are back with the usual christmas touches set in our tastefully decorated de Beauvoir suite. Served from 12-3 from 30th November until Christmas Eve, each Wednesday to Saturday.

Christmas Parties and Celebrations

For work events or family groups we have our Orangery for up to 24 people seated for dining from our Christmas set two or three course menu and why not add some arrival canapés and something sparkling to get in the sprit or our Christmas buffet menu for standing parties of up to 32 people. Set inside the hall with the views around and decorations up plus the service you expect from Downham Hall your event will be an intimate and delightful affair.

For parties of 40 to 110 people we have our marquee with a private bar for a festive seated event or for standing parties of up to 140 people we can offer Christmas canapé and buffet menus along with drinks packages.
